Clifford Wayne Nelson

Clifford Wayne Nelson, age 78 of Faribault and formerly of Maryland died on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at District One Hospital, Faribault. Private services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault and interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault with veteran’s military rites provided by the Rice County Central Veterans Association. Clifford Wayne, son of Clifford M. and Thelma M. (Robbins) Nelson was born on March 22, 1943, of Sioux City, IA. He graduated from Ringsted High School and served in the U. S. Navy for 20 years as an airplane mechanic. He married Glenda Lu Johnson in 1963 and she preceded him in death in 2008. Clifford enjoyed classic cars, puzzles and traveling to West Concord for Ginny’s Ice Cream. He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Nelson and Wendy (and Don) Wathen; two grandsons, Cory and Jordon Wathen; his siblings, Donald (and Myra) Nelson, Cheryl Sterling, Cynthia (and Stewart) Schuenke; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glenda Lu; sister, Sandra (and Donald) Maybon; and one brother in law, James Sterling; his father and mother in law, Ernest and Bonnie Johnson; one sister in law, Doraee (and Vern) Dahms.
